No sound card detected
When viewing properties for the sound card drivers, it reports the message: "Status: Driver is enabled but has not been started" When I go to the Sound and Audio properties in Control Panel, it reports that I have no audio device installed (even though the device manager reports: "this device is working properly"!

Since almost no games use 16bit sound samples, the 8bit DAC's on the SBPRO cut alot of the pop and hiss that occurrs with cheaply-done 16 bit samples (like the ones found in 99% of games that use 16 bit samples). It's possible that good 8-bit samples can be better than bad 16-bit samples.

audio problems - please help!
I previously didn't have a problem running my Creative Labs XGamer 5.1 sound card on this system but after the fresh installation the system will no longer even recognize that the sound card is connected to the motherboard.
